Press // Diva On A Dime Interiors Named One Of The Top 30 Home Design Blogs

I started this blog out of college as a place for me to keep all of my favorite design finds in one place and inspire some of my friends who wanted an interior designer but did not have the funds to use one.  Just out of college, I had no idea where this blog journey would take me.  I was a twenty one year old with too many ideas to even know where to start and found my blog to be a way for me to share these ideas.  I’ll never forget the day I started researching the blogoshere, and I was so intimidated by how many design blogs there were.  There has been a ton of hard work making this little gem into what it is today.   Since then, I have been able to build my career working for some of the largest and most admired design firms in the world and still share my realistic buys to my readers and dear friends.   The road to success in the industry has never been easy.  I could not even count how many nights I have worked in the office until midnight trying to meet deadlines and produce that next big design.  Design has never been a 40 hour week job for me.  Last week,  I received an email from a UK based company, Oak Doors, that blew my mind.  I am Extremely flattered for Diva On A Dime Interiors  to be listed as one of the top 30 best home design blogs by their company.   Days like this are what make sleepless nights worth it and keep inspiring me to do more in my career.   I am just a small town girl from Michigan that was always told I dreamed too big.  I am proof that taking small steps to make your dreams come true is what will path the way to even bigger steps in your career.  Never give up even if others doubt your ability to do big things!  Believe in yourself!  Check out the top 30 home blogs here.

#Giving

The real reason for the season is giving, not getting. Find a way to give not just of your wealth – and don’t let the lack of wealth keep you from giving – but of your talents, skills, knowledge, and self. Make giving part of who you are, not just a thing you do. This, year, instead of giving during the season of giving and then returning to your “normal life” when you pack away the tree and lights, let the holidays be a starting point to a life of year-round giving.

Happy Holidays Design Divas!
