I came across these unique upcycled vintage homewares from UK based Tvonne Ellen. The vodka and whiskey tea cups are too cool of a gift for a bachelorette party, wedding shower, or birthday. I love the idea of having two plates relate in design as shown with the giraffe and shark.
I started this blog out of college as a place for me to keep all of my favorite design finds in one place and inspire some of my friends who wanted an interior designer but did not have the funds to use one. Just out of college, I had no idea where this blog journey would take me. I was a twenty one year old with too many ideas to even know where to start and found my blog to be a way for me to share these ideas. I’ll never forget the day I started researching the blogoshere, and I was so intimidated by how many design blogs there were. There has been a ton of hard work making this little gem into what it is today. Since then, I have been able to build my career working for some of the largest and most admired design firms in the world and still share my realistic buys to my readers and dear friends. The road to success in the industry has never been easy. I could not even count how many nights I have worked in the office until midnight trying to meet deadlines and produce that next big design. Design has never been a 40 hour week job for me. Last week, I received an email from a UK based company, Oak Doors, that blew my mind. I am Extremely flattered for Diva On A Dime Interiors to be listed as one of the top 30 best home design blogs by their company. Days like this are what make sleepless nights worth it and keep inspiring me to do more in my career. I am just a small town girl from Michigan that was always told I dreamed too big. I am proof that taking small steps to make your dreams come true is what will path the way to even bigger steps in your career. Never give up even if others doubt your ability to do big things! Believe in yourself! Check out the top 30 home blogs here.

Thank you to my dear friend AJ Schulz for interviewing me for her Women Who Rock feature on her awesome hair & beauty blog “Your Stylist AJ.” I am extremely honored to have been featured. To all of my ladies in Chicago..AJ is the reason my locks look so glamorous. She has been my hair stylist for four years and I have been hooked ever since. Although my home base is now in Houston, Texas I still travel back and forth to see her to do work on this mane of hair I have. If you click on the link below you will find her contact information.

I am always looking for art prints for many different projects and was introduced to La Paperie & Print Shop. Kaitlin Rebesco started this pop up art shop a year ago upon returning to the States after studying photography in Paris. Her goal is to make original pieces of art accessible to a wider audience, with photographs ranging from $12 – $65. She sells images of Paris as well as other cities including New York, where she currently is based.

I am all about a good STATEMENT bathroom when it comes to residentail interior design. In most cases homes have one main floor bathroom for their guests. Great ways to bring a statement is through interesting mirrors, wallcovering, and paint colors that really bring a small room to life. In most cases you will want the towels, and bathroom accessories to be sleek and clean in order to balance the space and not compete with other textures and shapes within statement pieces. I always try to concentrate on key design rules : emphasis( statement piece), color, texture (shower curtain), balance, and ambiance. As a designer there is always reasoning to how or why I pair certain items together to create a well designed space. To get the look or for more information on product email me firstname.lastname@example.org

I am in LOVE with this cool product. The Frame wall covering from Graham & Brown. They are London based but are able to send samples and pricing anywhere in the world. The price is 18.00 a roll EURO pricing. When converted to US $ the roll is a bit pricey and not a diva on a dime budget but if you have a small wall this could be a useful product for you. I’m always looking for fresh new ideas and product to inspire my readers and this is definitely one of them. For further information please email me email@example.com or contact Graham & Brown 0800 328 845 firstname.lastname@example.org.
