I came across these unique upcycled vintage homewares from UK based Tvonne Ellen. The vodka and whiskey tea cups are too cool of a gift for a bachelorette party, wedding shower, or birthday. I love the idea of having two plates relate in design as shown with the giraffe and shark.
Last New Years, Alexa Cunningham and I made a pact it would be the year of YES. We would live on the edge, travel, start small businesses all in the hope of changing ourselves to become smarter, classier, more successful woman. At times, taking chances and doing things out of your comfort zone can be discomforting yet the year of YES, and looking at things in a positive YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TOO attitude managed to make 2013 an exceptional year for me. Any great opportunity that came my way I said YES too. I managed to establish 2 successful brands BASH Event Design & Diva On A Dime Interiors meet two of the craziest cats I know Shayne Dalton & Lindsey Morriss DeLany who are incredible business partners. I owe my success to them this past year for always pushing me to be a better designer and laugh while doing it. I am extremely blessed to have been hired by one of the most admired design firms in the world Rottet Studio working on the most high profile hotel brands in the world. The year of YES has been life changing. Say YES..you might surprise yourself.
I hope this year YOU find adventure and make it the year of YES… trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. Don’t let life keep you from chasing your dreams, don’t worry your dreams are not good enough, whatever it is..art, love, work, family, or life. Whatever you’re scared of doing..DO IT. 2014 is the year of YES. Happy New Dreams. Happy New Days. Happy New Desires. Happy New Ways. Happy New Year. HAPPY NEW YOU!!!
I can’t wait to kick your ass 2014!

yellHappy Tuesday Design Divas,
I have had quite the busy weekend working on some exciting upcoming projects! I have been surfing the web and have been more inspired than ever by my friends and came up with today’s post. We all have a unique design styles that brings out our personality through color, pattern, and shape. My dear friend, business partner, and amazing designer, Lindsey Delany, Inspired me to make this board just for her! I could never thank her enough for her knowledge and direction she has provided me with in the past 6 months. As business partners, she makes me a better designer every day and inspires me to always “look into the details.” Concepts and the big picture are my strong suits whereas Lindsey is all about the details and really brings projects together. Lindsey and I met while working together and have had an amazing bond not only due to our love for design but also on a spiritual and friend level as well. We both currently are co-founders and event directors at BASH EVENT DESIGN in Houston bringing our design aesthetic to the event planning scene in Houston, Texas. I have been calling her the Morrocan Princess lately due to her love for pattern, color, and the Indian culture that brings to life this Morrocan Princess board. What are your friends design styles? Let me know and I will make a design board just for you!

This wedding was one for the books ladies and gentlemen. My very best friends Emily & Darrell Tied the knot in very fashionable style! The wedding blew me away from the beautiful ceremony in a cathedral with design beyond words to the very pink reception with impeccable details. Every girl dreams of her wedding day in hope her wedding will be “different” than everyone else’s in some way or form. We all want to have our wedding reflect our personality as well as our future husbands. We all want to give all of our closest friends and family a night to remember. Emily always told me she wanted everyone to have the best night together and she was really doing all her planning for everyone else. Although Darrell had a say, I admired his patience with Em for letting her have almost everything she wanted on her big day wether is was over the top pinky pink or not. As maid of honor, I could not have been more happy for the 2 of them! At times many people told Emily not to worry about the small details when planning yet all the small details are what made this wedding so special! Many brides are always looking for new fresh ways to incorporate cool ideas and this wedding is great inspiration. BASH Event Design, my company made sure this wedding was all in the DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS.. Check out some of my favorite photos of Emily & Darrell from K Holly photography below:
